ND: Information not determined/monitored.
1. The calculations were based on the Global Warming Potential (GWP) defined by the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, when the emission inventories were finalized in February 2022.
2. O2, CH4, NO2, N2O, PFC, HFC, SF6, NF3, R-410 A and other refrigerant gases.
3. CO2, CH4 e NO2.
4.Related to the purchase of electricity (location-based approach). For the Group’s units located in Brazil, the calculations used the National Interconnected System (SIN) emission factor; in the case of Oxiteno’s international units, local energy mix data was used.
5. Related to the purchase of electricity under the market-based approach.
6. Included corporate air travel, land transportation related to operations (waste disposal and employees), transportation of downstream products (sea, road and air).
7. These figures were corrected after a third-party review of the GHG inventory.
8. The burners for eliminating the Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) produced in the Santos (SP) terminal are fed by LPG and are the company’s largest source of Scope 1 emissions. These burners cannot be changed or switched off because their use is one of the conditions specified in the environmental license due to the high concentration of ozone in the surrounding area. In the last quarter of 2021, one of the burners suffered a technical fault and its flow of VOCs was redirected through a pipe to a second burner. As a result, there was a reduction in the volume of VOCs burnt in this first burner and consequently in the volume of LPG consumed. Therefore, a substantial part of the reduction in Scope 1 emissions was purely circumstantial due to this fault in this burner. It is important to stress that Ultracargo notified the environmental authorities of the equipment failure as soon as it was identified and the burner is already undergoing its final tests before being reintegrated into the operations. In addition, there was a reduction of around 60% in the volume of fuel handled during the year compared to 2020 and this also contributed to a reduction in the volume of VOCs produced in the process and burnt in the burners.
9. As of 2021, it included the AmPm stores.

3. Mainly: ethanol, biodiesel, anhydrous alcohol and hydrated alcohol.
4. The information disclosed in the Integrated Report 2020 has been restated.
5. In 2021, all the electricity purchased by Ultragaz, Ultracargo and Ipiranga, received international certificates of renewable energy (I-RECs). This certification ensured that it originated from renewable energy sources, such as solar, wind, water, biomass and geothermal.
6. Self-generation: electricity (9,529.6 GJ), heating (196.6 GJ) and steam (17,707.6 GJ).
7. As of 2020, in addition to the consumption of fuel in generators, the consumption of the company-owned vehicle fleet (diesel oil and gasoline) started to be monitored.

2. The fines related to leaks in 2020 at the terminals in Santos (SP) and Itaqui (MA) and the judgment of administrative appeals was still pending on December 31st, 2020. The fine for Santos was paid in 2021 and was included in the total fines disclosed by the Group in 2021. The second appeal is still pending.
3. This amount was composed of the following items: a fine of R$ 570 thousand, issued by Cetesb, for the leakage of 250 liters of diesel on Pier 2 during an operation with a ship in 2020 (paid R$ 399 thousand with a discount on 18/06/21); a fine of R$ 14,545, in Santos, issues by Cetesb on 18/11/2019, for allegedly having carried out the detailed investigative stage of lot 17, without providing the complete mapping of the plumes of contaminants identified in the area (paid on 19/03/21); a fine of R$ 20 thousand in Aratu, issued by Inema, for a leakage of caustic soda on 12/02/21 (paid on 31/03/21); a fine of R$ 100 thousand, in Itaquí, Issued by the ANP, for allegedly making false declarations or providing false information, falsifying, adulterating, destroying, simulating or altering records or other documents required by law (paid R$ 70 thousand with a discount on 20/09/21); and a fine, in Santos, issued by Cetesb, for an administrative infraction for allegedly emitting odoriferous substances from the after-burner (thermal oxidation of VOCs) and thereby causing inconvenience to the public welfare in 2019 (paid R$ 14,545 with a discount on 03/12/21).
4. The amounts related to those processes not yet finalized in the judicial system involve processes that have wider repercussions due to their nature, the object of the actions and the amounts involved. In the reports for 2019 and 2020, the Group reported an infraction notice in the amount of R $ 22.5 million, due to a product leak resulting from an accident between two cargo vehicles, one of which was a fuel transportation contractor. This is an important legal process for Ipiranga. The company did not contribute to the incident and it considers the fine to be disproportionate compared to the extent of the damage and the remediation work carried out. The case is still awaiting judgment.
5. The proceedings in progress totaled R$ 315.1 thousand. More than 90% of this amount referred to two processes regarding construction permits and the expansion of units on potentially contaminated land.
